Angela Horng,
Ph.D
Dr. Angela Horng (she/her) is a second-generation Taiwanese American and founder of Untangled Threads Psychology. She created this practice to address the glaring gap in culturally-sensitive care in the field of psychology. She is passionate about providing excellent therapeutic care for ethnic minority communities, particularly those struggling with unresolved intergenerational trauma. She knows how difficult it can be to find culturally-attuned therapy, and thus, Dr. Horng is committed to building and training a team to address this dilemma.
Janelle Cepeda van der Linde, Ph.D
Dr. Janelle Cepeda van der Linde (she/her) is a second-generation Ecuadorian immigrant who transitioned into psychology as a second career. Before therapy, she led a clinical research team in Silicon Valley, contributing to breakthrough biologic treatments in cancer and immunology. As the daughter of an Ecuadorian immigrant and a first-generation American, and a mother balancing a demanding career, she brings deep insight into the unique pressures faced by high-achieving professionals. Dr. van der Linde is committed to fostering self-awareness and purposeful change through a personalized, compassionate approach.
Celina Alvarez Marroquin (she/her) is a cishet Afro Latina (Black/Puerto Rican) therapist from New York City and the first in her biracial family to graduate college. She holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and is pursuing her doctorate at George Washington University. With experience in college and community mental health settings, Celina brings a warm, honest, and collaborative approach to therapy. Celina is passionate about working with diverse populations and creating space for healing, growth, and thriving.
